67 Major Projects in Changzhou National High-tech Zone Signed Contracts To Start Construction Of BYD New Energy Vehicle Core Parts Industrial Park
Feb 19, 2023| On the morning of February 18th, Changzhou National High-tech Zone held the groundbreaking ceremony of major projects in the first quarter and the foundation stone laying ceremony of BYD New energy Vehicle core parts Industrial Park. With the attraction and construction of major projects, the war drum of building a new energy city and spurting the "city with one trillion GDP" was sounded. City leaders Chen Jinhu, Li Lin, Hang Yong attended the event.
This time, 32 projects have been signed, including 16 high-quality industrial projects of "two special three new intelligent", with a total investment of 18.4 billion yuan, including high rate lithium-ion cell R&D and manufacturing project with a total investment of 6 billion yuan, new energy intelligent mobile travel equipment project with a total investment of 5 billion yuan, and other 6 major industrial projects with a total investment of more than 1 billion yuan or 100 million dollars. 8 modern service projects with a total investment of 3.8 billion yuan; 8 science and technology talent projects with a total investment of 500 million yuan.
A total investment of 28.1 billion yuan will be invested in the five key projects under construction, and 10.7 billion yuan will be invested in 2023. Among them, the total investment of BYD new energy vehicle core parts Industrial Park project is 10 billion yuan, which will form an annual output of 300,000 sets of high-end intelligent core parts, comprehensively improve the industrial chain of new energy passenger vehicles in Changzhou, Jiangsu and even the Yangtze River Delta region, drive the development of the upstream and downstream industrial chain, produce synergistic and radiation effects, and add momentum to the construction of the new energy city.
In the past year, BYD Changzhou passenger car base has been put into production and rapidly increased production, producing 180,000 new energy vehicles, becoming Changzhou's fastest industrial enterprise to enter the 10 billion level club.
In addition, Changzhou National High-tech Zone will build itself into the most competitive industrial highland in the Yangtze River Delta. In 2023, Changzhou National High-tech Zone plans to introduce 150 manufacturing and service projects, including 15 major industrial projects worth more than 1 billion yuan or 100 million U.S. dollars, and 20 high-quality foreign investment projects. We will strive to promote the construction of all major projects in 6 provinces, and comprehensively exceed the goals and tasks assigned by the municipal level.
